Organizational change is not new to FSA.With the recent FSA organizational changes as well as FSA employee retirements, a variety of functions, including new Direct Loan school setup, have transferred to different offices.

As a result, we want to take this opportunity to share the simple new process to start participation in the Direct Loan Program. If your school is interested in participating in Direct Loans, you should contact COD School Relations by email at codsupport@acs-inc.com.The subject line of the email should clearly indicate that your school wants to begin participating in the Direct Loan Program. In addition, the following information should be provided in the body of the email:

  • School name
  • 8-digit Office of Postsecondary Education Identification Number (OPE ID)
  • COD/Routing ID
    • This information must be provided for your school's main campus as well as any additional location for which you want the ability to separately originate loans.
  • Name and title of the individual making the request
  • Email address and phone number

COD School Relations will provide you with an automated tracking number and you should be notified of the result of your request within 7 business days.

If you have any questions about COD contact the COD School Relations Center at 1-800-848-0978 for Direct Loans or 1-800-4PGRANT for Pell Grants, or email CODSupport@acs-inc.com. Thank you for your support of the COD System.
