RE: Sort Order of 2002-2003 Pell Grant Reconciliation File Has Been Corrected
On March 20, 2003, COD began generating the Pell Reconciliation File upon request for the 2002-2003 Award Year. This file is provided in the fixed-length record format which is detailed in the record layouts in the custom layouts section of the 2002-2003 Pell Technical Reference at: http://www.fsadownload.ed.gov/FedPellTechRef0203.htm. The Reconciliation File contains one summary record per student of the accepted disbursement records in the COD system.
Prior to April 1, 2003 COD generated this file in the wrong sort order. COD has corrected this error and the Reconciliation File is now sorted by name (last, first, middle initial) and Social Security Number. Schools that received the Reconciliation File in the incorrect sort order may request this file again and COD will send a file in the correct sort to your SAIG mailbox (Message Class PGRC03OP with a batch type of #C).
To request a Reconciliation File, contact the COD School Relations Center at: 1-800-4PGRANT or e-mail CODSupport@acs-inc.com. To expedite your request, please include the words "Reconciliation File" in the subject line of you e-mail. At this time, the COD System cannot fulfill batch data requests for the Reconciliation File.
