SUBJECT: Look What’s New on IFAP!

We wanted to take this opportunity to update you on several recent events....

  • Aids to Promoting Federal Aid: Over time, FSA has posted brochures and pamphlets to promote federal aid on the IFAP website. Usually these tools were posted as attachments to electronic announcements. For your convenience, we have gathered all of these materials together in a new area on IFAP called "Aids to Promoting Federal Aid". This new area can be accessed from the IFAP "Current Publications" page, and is also available from the IFAP home page under the heading "Tools for Schools".
  • COD Computer Based Training: FSA now offers a downloadable computer based training (CBT) tool for the Common Origination and Disbursement Process. You may download this CBT to your workstation and run it from there. This new CBT is easily accessed from IFAP's home page, under the heading "Tools for Schools".
  • EDExpress Basics Computer Based Training: FSA now offers a interactive computer based training tool (CBT) for EDExpress. This new CBT is also easily accessed from IFAP's home page, under the heading "Tools for Schools".
  • FSA for Counselors: FSA's Aid Awareness group has developed a series of web pages designed to offer counselors information and suggestions for addressing the critical problem of students' misinformation and lack of information about postsecondary education options and financial aid. This new collection of web pages are available at: <http://ifap.ed.gov/FSACounselors/index.html> and can also be found as a new entry on the "Other Links" page offered through both IFAP and the Schools Portal websites.

Are you currently receiving the IFAP subscription emails? This service, brought to you by FSA generates a weekly email that summarizes all of the postings to the IFAP website for the previous week.
