RE: Beta Test Volunteers Needed for 2003-2004 ISIR Analysis Tool, Version 1.0
The US Department of Education is recruiting volunteers to participate in the beta test of the upcoming 2003-2004 ISIR Analysis Tool, Version 1.0. The Department encourages both participants and non-participants in FSAâs Quality Assurance (QA) program to volunteer.
The ISIR Analysis Tool software, formerly known as QA Tool, performs intensive analysis of ISIR data for use in developing an effective school verification program and to improve service to students.
Beta test participants will download a beta version of the ISIR Analysis Tool software and detailed test procedures from an FTP site.. Participants are then asked to replicate their typical use of the software in a mock-production environment, report any problems encountered, and submit a summary report detailing their testing experience for ED analysis.
The ISIR Analysis tool beta test is scheduled to occur between March 31 and April 11, 2003.Â
If you are interested in being considered as a site for this beta test, please send an e-mail to CPSWAN@NCS.COM with the subject line âAttention: ISIR Analysis Tool Beta Testâ and provide the following information:
1) School name
2) School type (4-year public university, 2-year private college, proprietary/trade school, etc.)
3) Primary and Secondary testing contact names, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses
4) TG# identifier

6) Network type and version (if applicable)
7) QA Program participant or non-participant?8) FTP download capability (I.E. Can you upload/download files from an FTP server?)
9) Your schoolâs average number of Title IV applicants per year
FSA and CPS PC development staff will select participants from a wide variety of processing environments to ensure that the most diverse and thorough testing of the software is performed.
We will contact all beta volunteers by March 26, 2003. If your school is selected to participate in the beta test, further information will be provided by the aforementioned date.
We thank you for your interest in helping make the ISIR Analysis Tool a superior software product that addresses your schoolâs needs. We look forward to hearing from you.
