SUBJECT: Closed School Guide

We are proud to announce the Closed School Guide for Schools. The closing of a school can be one of the most frustrating and disruptive events possible for a student. Many students who are affected by a school closure cannot continue their education due to a lack of opportunity, financial difficulties, or other problems connected to the school that closed. This guide is designed to help you, as school administrators, to help these students continue their education by providing you with information you need to know to provide students with access to educational services and federal "Title IV" student financial assistance funds. The U. S. Department of Education, Accrediting bodies, State licensing or oversight agencies (State authorizing agencies), and guarantee agencies for the Federal Family Education Loan Program may also assist you with various aspects of the process.

We hope you find this guide helpful. If you have questions, please contact your regional CASE Management team (which we would link to http://fsa4schools.ed.gov/SCHOOLSWebApp/index.jsp by placing the cursor on the "Help Center" bar followed by clicking on "Contacts").
