Our Federal offices, as well as all our Title IV processors and call centers, will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2002 in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

On Friday, November 29, the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system, as well as a few centers identified below, will be open for business. The COD Customer Service School Relations Center will be open and answering calls from schools and the COD system will send and receive data from schools. COD will carry out its regular exchange of data with the Direct Loan Origination system concerning Direct Loan promissory notes on file in the LOC system. The Loan Origination service center will be open. Paper promissory notes will be received by the LOC and they will be scanned and entered into the LOC promissory note database.   Requests from schools for Pell and Direct Loan funds will be forwarded to and processed by the FSA Financial Management System. The Federal Reserve and all banks will be open, and schools will receive funds on this day.

For all other systems, you will be able to send and receive data on Thursday or Friday, but as noted below in some cases it won't be picked up until the following Monday. We will resume retrieving, processing, and sending data on Monday, December 2. All offices, production centers and customer service centers will resume normal operations on Monday.
