Our Federal offices, as well as some of our Title IV processors and call centers, will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2002 in observance of the Veteran's Day holiday. The COD system, as well as a few centers identified below, however, will be open for business. The COD School Relations Center (SRC) in Niagara Falls will be open and answering calls from schools. The COD system will send and receive data from schools. COD will carry out its regular exchange of data with the Direct Loan Origination system concerning Direct Loan promissory notes on file in the LOC system. However, the Loan Origination service center in Montgomery will be closed. No paper promissory notes will be received by the LOC center on that day, and thus, no notes will be scanned and entered into the LOC promissory note data base. Requests from schools for Pell and Direct Loan funds will be forwarded to and processed by the FSA Financial Management System. However, since the Federal Reserve and almost all banks are closed on Veterans Day, the earliest schools would receive the funds requested would be Tuesday, November 12.

Otherwise, you will be able to send and receive data on Monday; but as noted below in some cases it won't be picked up until Tuesday. We will resume retrieving, processing, and sending data on Tuesday, November 12. All offices, production centers and customer service centers will resume operations on Tuesday.
