SUMMARY: Web-based training on the Campus-Based Program’s Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP) is now available.

The Department is pleased to announce the availability of web-based training on the Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP).

This online course is designed to provide Financial Aid Administrators with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully complete an accurate FISAP for their postsecondary schools, and transmit the data by October 1 without unexplained errors or rejects.

What will the training cover?

The course will focus on explaining why the FISAP information is needed, how to obtain it, and point out areas where people have difficulty. It will also include some instruction on navigating the application. The approach overall will be lighthearted and fun.

After taking this course, the trainee will be able to:

? Understand the purpose of the FISAP

? Identify what data is needed for the FISAP and where to get it

? Access and navigate FISAP on the Web and correctly enter information

? Identify and resolve errors

? Describe the relationship between the FISAP and the campus-based funding formula

When will this training be available and how do I access it?

This FISAP training is available now and can be accessed by going to the FISAP on the Web login page at http://www.cbfisap.ed.gov and clicking on the link for the FISAP training module.
