RE: COD Release 1.1 - June 3, 2002

Description of COD Release 1.1

Release 1.1 of the COD application is now available, including the following key features:

  • Process requests for credit checks on the COD website
  • Process PLUS loans
  • Generate pending Promissory Note responses (acknowledgements) for PLUS loans

In addition, COD reports and COD website security have new features in Release 1.1. Each area is described in more detail below.

COD Reports - Release 1.1

Schools will continue to receive the six standard COD reports that were delivered to their SAIG mailboxes during Release 1.0. In addition, the School Account Statement (SAS) will now be available.

COD Website Security - Release 1.1

The COD system now supports 5 (five) levels of school users and 5 (five) levels of 3rd party servicer and vendor users. If your Security Administrator has assigned permanent user roles for the COD website during Release 1.0, then no further action is necessary. Those user roles that previously reflected User Level 2 privileges will automatically be mapped to their appropriate privileges.

If your Security Administrator assigned User Level 2 privileges to all users in Release 1.0, then she/he must update each user profiles with the appropriate user level privileges.

More information on COD website access for schools and 3rd party servicers and vendors will be available on IFAP shortly.

The following table shows the user levels and privileges that are available beginning in Release 1.1:

You will receive more details about future releases, including implementation dates, in the near future.
