Summary: FY 2000 DRAFT ELECTRONIC LOAN DETAIL REPORTS (eLRDR)
Posted on February 11, 2002
Electronic Loan Record Detail Reports (eLRDR) for the Fiscal Year 2000 FFEL/DL draft cohort default rates are now available to schools. The Department will mail FY 2000 draft cohort default rates to all Title IV eligible schools on February 11, 2002. Note, only schools that had borrowers entering repayment in FY 2000 will receive a hard copy Loan Record Detail Report with their FY 2000 draft cohort default rate. The FY 2000 Draft eLRDR is an electronic version of this hard copy report. The electronic report provides schools with a more efficient way to review, sort, and analyze cohort default rate data.
A school may request a FY 2000 draft eLRDR through the Department's NSLDS website at http://www.nsldsfap.ed.gov/. Once a request has been made, the report is delivered to the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) mailbox associated with the NSLDS user ID that was used to make the request. EDconnect software is used to download the report from the user's SAIG mailbox. Therefore, in order to request an electronic loan record detail report, the requestor must have a NSLDS user-ID, a TIVWAN account, and EDconnect software. To obtain additional information, contact the NSLDS Customer Service at 1-800-999-8219 or CPS/Wan technical support at 1-800-330-5947.
The electronic loan record detail report is available as a pre-formatted report (Report) or as a data file extract (Extract). The Report is representative of the hardcopy loan record detail report and can be accessed using standard word processing software. The Extract allows a school to query the cohort default rate data based on the school's needs. Please refer to the revised Chapter 2.6 General Information Tools, of the Cohort Default Rate Guide, as it is referred to under the change page information section (change date - August 31, 2001) http://ifap.ed.gov/IFAPWebApp/archiveDRMaterialsPag.jsp.
