RE: Network status update
We have a delay in moving processed data through the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) today, January 18, 2002. This is being caused by high server utilization. We are continuing to work very hard to develop and test enhancements to improve the performance of the network. When these updates are complete it will be applied directly to the mailboxing system so you will not have to look for any updates to EDconnect or EasyAccess.
If you are expecting to receive data with a processing date of January 17, these files will be going out by the end of the day today. There are tools at your disposal to verify your batch arrived to the network and its subsequent processing.
· The On-line Secure Manager (OSM) Web site, http://www.saigportal.ed.gov/, will allow you to view batches ready to retrieve. It will also allow you to verify the file you sent was successfully delivered. For more documentation on this Web site, you can download the OSM User’s Guide at: http://fsadownload.ed.gov/softedconnect.htm. To login to OSM, you will need your TG number and TG password.
· If you would like to check the processing of particular students or batches, you can go to FAA Access at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/FAA/faa.htm.
