We would like to thank all of you who have completed your SFA to the Internet Migration early. Currently there are 5,582 of you who use this system on a daily basis.
For all that have yet to migrate, we want to remind you that the migration deadline is December 18. We urge you to migrate as soon as possible so we can provide you with the support you need. You do not have to have the new minimum PC hardware and software requirements before you migrate; these requirements do not go into effect until January 1, 2002.
Below are the steps required to migrate. For the complete list of instructions, please download the cover letter from the EDconnect software location on the www.fsadownload.ed.gov Web site. Users are finding the migration to be very straightforward and easy to perform.
The steps are.
1. Download EDconnect from www.fsadownload.ed.gov and install the software.
2. Follow the setup wizard.
3. Create and transmit a network password change.
4. Go to www.fsawebenroll.ed.gov and indicate you are ready to migrate.
5. You are finished! Migration will happen immediately.
Please note that you can complete migration without contacting SAIG. If you do have migration questions, you can call CPS/WAN Technical Support and select option #3 on the voice processing system, where your call will be immediately routed to one of our migration specialists. You may also e-mail us at cpswan@ncs.com.
