Subject: Call Center Experiencing Intermittent Phone Outages

The Customer Service Call Center (800)4ED-SFAP or (800) 433-7327 has been experiencing intermittent phone problems since they moved this past weekend to their new location along with the rest of ED's Student Financial Assistance staff. If you are unable to get through, we recommend that you contact the Call Center by way of email. There are several ways to contact them quickly:

  1. Address an email to sfa.customer.support@ed.gov or
  2. Use the "Got a Question?" button on the School Portal (http://fsa4schools.ed.gov/SCHOOLSWebApp/index.jsp) website

Each email is logged in, assigned to a Customer Service Representative, and tracked. A CSR will contact you as soon as possible.
