RE: Issue Alert: Exporting LOC Loan Detail and External Loan Data

CPS/WAN Technical Support would like to inform you of two issues concerning the LOC Loan Detail and the External Loan Data export types in the Direct Loan module of 2001-2002 EDExpress (Versions 7.1, 7.2 and 7.2.1).

Issues:

If Security Groups profiles from Global Setup are imported from 2000-2001 EDExpress to 2001-2002 EDExpress using the Prior Year Import function, you may encounter the following two issues:

1) The Direct Loan export type of LOC Loan Detail is not available as a selection;
2) The error message, "You must enter a school code", will display when you export loan data to an external file using the External Loan Data Direct Loan export type.

Both issues will occur even if your User ID is a part of the Express Administration security group (which has full access to all modules) or if your User ID is a part of a new security group created for access to all Direct Loan functions.

Workaround:

If you encounter the issues explained above, log into 2001-2002 EDExpress using the SYSADMIN User ID and the custom password you created when you first logged in. Once logged on as SYSADMIN, the LOC Loan Detail export type will be available as a selection, and you will not receive the "You must enter a school code" message when using the External Loan Data export type.

NOTE: If you did not import Security Groups using the Prior Year Import function, you will not encounter the issues discussed in this message.

If you have any questions regarding this message, please contact CPS/WAN Technical Support at 800/330-5947 or via e-mail at CPSWAN@NCS.COM.
