RE: Transitioning from the FISAP PC software to the FISAP on the Web
Three scenarios on how to transition from the FISAP 4.0 PC Software to the FISAP on the Web in early September.
Three Scenarios
Scenario 1:
I have not begun to enter my data into the FISAP 4.0 PC Software. Can I use the FISAP on the Web?
Yes! The FISAP on the Web will allow you to enter, view, update and complete the FISAP cycle on the Web starting in early September. Check next weeks IFAP posting for the FISAP web address.
Scenario 2:
I have already completed and exported my FISAP data from the PC Software but have not transmitted it to the Department of Education. Can I still use the FISAP on the Web?
Yes! You will have the ability to upload your exported FISAP PC data file to the web. You will then be able to view, update, submit and complete the FISAP cycle on the Web. Check next weeks IFAP posting for the FISAP web address.
Scenario 3:
I have already completed, exported and submitted my FISAP 4.0 PC data file to the Department of Education. Will I still be able to use the FISAP on the Web?
Yes! Five days after your FISAP 4.0 PC data file submission, the FISAP on the Web will allow you to view, update, and continue the FISAP cycle on the Web. Check next weeks IFAP posting for the FISAP web address.
Additional Questions
What if I plan on using the FISAP 4.0 PC Software to submit Reallocation data for the August 24, 2001 deadline?
Those using the FISAP 4.0 PC Software to submit Reallocation data can still use the FISAP on the Web after its September release to enter, view, and complete the FISAP cycle. You will also be able to view your submitted Reallocation data using FISAP on the Web.
What do I do next?
Check IFAP each Wednesday for our FISAP on the Web electronic announcements. Each weekly letter will give more information on the FISAP on the Web. Upcoming and previously released topics include:
- 8/07/01- FISAP coming to the Web in September
- 8/22/01- Login/Logout
- 8/29/01- Self-Service/Help Features
- 9/05/01- Validation
What if I still have questions about the process?
If you have questions, please email Heather Towhidian at htowhidian@kpmg.com.
