Summary: Automatic Expiration of "dormant" IFAP Member Services IDs.

Posted on August 2, 2001

Dear Partner:

We are pleased to advise another enhancement to the services we provide. As a direct result of your comments and suggestions, we have discontinued the automatic expiration of "dormant" IFAP Member Services IDs.

Our former practice was to de-activate IFAP Member Services IDs after a period of inactivity. "Inactivity" was defined as no attempts to sign into the IFAP Member Services area. Once a customer's ID was de-activated, the IFAP subscription emails stopped being sent.

Several of our customers have advised us that while they didn't log into the IFAP Member Services area of our website, they did want to continue to receive the very informative subscription emails.

We heard your requests and have changed our practice. Your IFAP ID will no longer automatically expire. Therefore, your IFAP subscription emails will continue to come to you unless and until you change your subscription options.

If you aren't currently a registered member for IFAP, or if you'd like to review the subscription options available, go to the following page: http://ifap.ed.gov/IFAPWebApp/logonMemberServicesPag.jsp

If you have any questions about IFAP registration, please contact the Customer Service Call Center on 1-800-433-7327, or via a FAX on 202-260-4199, or via email at sfa.customer.support@ed.gov
