RE: Initial Electronic Applications sent 7/2 rejected in error

CPS/WAN Technical Support has identified an issue that we want to bring to your attention. As you are aware, the deadline for submitting electronic FAFSA applications for the 2000-2001 school year was Monday, July 2, 2001. We have discovered that there were a number of electronic applications received on July 2 that were rejected that should have been accepted. This issue affected files from about 120 destination points. These destination points received EAPR01OP files (electronic application rejects) indicating the reject reason “105 TRAN RDT: INVALID VALUE 20010701.”

The CPS has resolved the issue and is currently reprocessing these application records. CPS/WAN Technical Support will contact each destination point affected.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this issue way have caused. If you have questions about this issue, please contact CPS/WAN Technical Support at (800) 330-5947, or via email at cpswan@ncs.com.
