RE: Pell Grant Program Administrative Relief: New E-mail Address to Request for 1999-2000
The Federal Pell Grant Program has now set up a new e-mail address to receive 1999-2000 Administrative Relief requests. To apply for Administrative Relief, see Dear Partner letter
P-00-02 (September 2000) or send your request via e-mail to our new mailbox: SFA_1999-2000_Administrative_Relief @ed.gov. Please note that the deadline date for submitting 1999-2000 Administrative Relief requests is January 31, 2001.Whether by letter or by e-mail, be sure to include the official name and address of your school, the Pell ID of the reporting campus, as well as the name, address, phone number, e-mail address of the Financial Aid Administrator and the reason for requesting Administrative Relief. Once you have applied for Administrative Relief, do not submit upward adjustments until we have responded, or the records you send may be rejected.
You should continue to submit your data using your usual reporting media. However, you may now use our new website to submit your data. The Post Deadline functions on the Pell Grant Website (
http://www.pellgrantsonline.ed.gov) give you a new flexibility which is especially useful if you only need to make a few adjustments at a time. You can enter Origination, Disbursement and Special Disbursement records directly through this website. If using third party software, please check with your provider before entering data through this website to ensure that the RFMS acknowledgements can be properly imported by your software. If you have any questions, please contact Pell Grant Customer Service at 800-4PGRANT (1-800-474-7268) or send an e-mail to
