SUBJECT: 2001-2002 Application Processing Statistics -- May 6, 2001

In the following table you will find a comparison of FAFSA processing for the 2001-02 and 2000-01 processing cycles, which have been adjusted in order to allow for the difference in start up times.

In addition to the 1,799,754 applications that have been submitted electronically, there are approximately 110,000 FAFSA on the Web, Renewal FAFSA on the Web, and FAFSA Express applications on the hold file, waiting for signatures to be submitted by students.
