The U. S. Department of Education invites qualified individuals to apply for multiple Program Specialist positions in the Program Development Division within Student Financial Assistance (a Performance Based Organization).
Position Duties
Program Specialists serve as experts in Title IV program areas providing authoritative advice and consultation to ED officials and customers (schools, state agencies, lenders, servicers, professional associations, etc.). Duties entail interpretation, creation, and review of program guidance, and the development and refinement of governing regulations. Program Specialists must possess strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and strong problem-solving skills.

The Department expects to make multiple appointments at both the GS-12 Grade (Annual Salary Range: $51,204 to $66,564) and GS-13 Grade (Annual Salary Range: $60, 890 to $79,155).
