PublicationDate: 10/23/2000 Summary: Web Disbursement Summary Page Author: General Manager: SFA School Channel Posted on October 23, 2000 TO: All Destination Points FROM: Pell Grant Processing RE: Web Disbursement Summary Page THIS MESSAGE: Announces problem with the Disbursement Summary Page of the Pell Grant on the Web site. We have identified a problem with data used to populate the Disbursement Summary page of the Pell Grant on the Web, web site (http://ifap.ed.gov/IFAPWebApp/currentPGRFMSProcessPag.jsp). Disbursements that are part of a system generated batch are not being included in the summary calculation that appears on that page. System Generated disbursements may result from the end of the year Verification W process. For those students that had a verification status of W and had received a disbursement, a system generated negative was produced (see electronic announcement, Federal Pell Grant Program Verification Status Code "W" Deobligation dated 8/28/00). System generated disbursements may also occur if a school has an origination that has received an edit/comment code number 323 "Origination is 'Over Paid' and negative disbursement is expected." You know there is a system generated batch if the batch acknowledgement number begins "#G." We are working to resolve this issue and expect to have the data corrected by the end of the week . We sincerely regret any inconvenience this has caused. If you have any questions, please contact Pell Grant Customer Service at 1-800-4PGRANT (800-474-7268) or send e-mail to pell_systems@ed.gov. |
