The Microsoft Corporation recently released Windows Millennium, also known as Windows Me, an upgrade to its Windows 95/98 operating system.

Current 32-bit ED software products such as EDExpress, EDconn32, FISAP, SSCR, and QAP have not been tested for use in the Windows Me environment. Running ED’s 32-bit products in a Windows Me environment could possibly damage your software database(s), warranting reinstallation and recreation of your database(s).

Please continue to run all ED 32-bit products in a Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT or Windows 2000 environment.

We also wish to remind schools that ED software databases should not be opened or converted using Access 2000; this may cause irreparable damage to the affected database and necessitate reinstallation.

ED and its partners are working on plans to test Windows Me compatibility issues and will communicate any new information to you as soon as it is available.

For further information on system requirements for ED’s 32-bit software, please consult the Installation Guide of the particular software version.
