RE: 2000-2001 EDExpress Direct Loan Regenerate

We wish to advise all Direct Loan participants using 2000-2001 EDExpress of a recently discovered issue regarding the File | Regenerate | Direct Loan process.

We have determined that the Regenerate process will correctly recreate the Direct Loan batch selected and place it the school’s export directory. However, the software will not place the regenerated Direct Loan file in EDconn32’s transmission queue automatically, even if the user has “Export to EDconnect?” selected in their User ID setup under Tools | Setup | Global | Security Users.

The Regenerate process will correctly place regenerated Application Processing and Pell files in EDconn32’s transmission queue. Only regenerated Direct Loan files are affected. Direct Loan users must make note of the export file name and export directory during the regenerate process and manually select the regenerated batch for transmission in EDconn32.

We regret any inconvenience this issue may cause your school. If you have any questions regarding EDExpress, please contact CPS Customer Service at 800/330-5947, option 3, or via email at
CPS@NCS.COM.

If you need assistance using EDconn32, please contact Title IV WAN Customer Service at 800/615-1189, or via email at
