PublicationDate: 7/12/2000 Summary: Modifying SSCR Software to Work with Updated SSCR Message Classes Author: PSS - Program Systems Service Posted on July 12, 2000 TO: All Destination Points FROM: CPS Customer Service RE: Modifying SSCR Software to Work with Updated SSCR Message Classes The Department recently sent a network message to schools announcing the release of a new EDconnect message class "MESSAGETB" that modifies message classes and file names for some SSCR process files. Schools using the Department's SSCR software to process SSCR data will need to modify the File Management settings in the software so it will recognize these new file names. The updated message classes will affect four types of files: --- SSCR Rosters, formerly named SSCR99OP, have been changed to SSCRXXOP; --- SSCR Submittal Files, formerly named SSCR99IN, have been changed to SSCRXXIN; --- SSCR Error Notification Files, formerly named SSCE99OP, have been changed to SSCEXXOP; --- SSCR Error Correction Files, formerly named SSCM99IN, have been changed to SSCMXXIN. To update the SSCR software, go to the Tools menu and select the option for File Management. The File Management window has two tabs, Imports and Exports. Changes need to be made to both tabs. On the Exports tab in the File Name column, change the file name SSCM99IN.* to SSCMXXIN.*. Also, change the file name SSCR99IN.* to SSCRXXIN.*. Once the Exports tab has been updated, click on the Imports tab. In the File Name column, change the file name SSCE99OP.* to SSCEXXOP.*. Change the file name SSCR99OP.* to SSCRXX.*. (Note: File names ending in OP use the letter O, not the number 0.) After the four file names noted above have been modified, click on the OK button. A screen will appear asking for confirmation of the changes made --- reply with Yes or OK to these screens to allow the changes to take effect in the software. If you need assistance with making these changes to your SSCR software, please contact CPS Customer Service at (800) 330-5947 or via email at CPS@NCS.COM. |
