Re: FAFSA on the Web and PIN sites will be down temporarily for the upcoming
move to the Virtual Data Center

To facilitate the integration of the Student Financial Aid Delivery system,
we are moving the FAFSA on the Web (FOTW) and PIN site software and
hardware to the Virtual Data Center (VDC) located in Meriden CT, which
will eventually house all the Student Financial Aid Delivery systems.
We expect that this transition will be transparent to you and your students
except for some initial downtime needed when we move this weekend.

Many months of planning and scheduling have gone into the preparations for
the FOTW and PIN site moves. We are confident the FAFSA on the Web
applications will be in production except for the limited downtime listed below.
If we do need additional downtime, however, we will let you know immediately.

Both the FAFSA on the Web and the PIN web sites will be completely
unavailable from Friday, July 14 from 11:45 p.m. until Saturday, July 15
at 1:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time).

If you have questions about the FOTW and PIN web site moves, please call
Customer Service at 1-800-801-0576/TTY: 800-511-5806.
