June 21, 2000 is the first date of the valid date range for disbursements submitted to RFMS for the 2000-2001 award year. Please keep in mind that while disbursement records will be accepted, processed and acknowledgments will be returned, funds will not be available for drawdown until July 1, 2000. While the Recipient Financial Management System (the system that processes records for the Federal Pell Grant Program) began accepting disbursement records on June 21, 2000, it is possible if you are: - using a homegrown system - using third party software - a combo school - a school using a combination of institutional or third party software and EDExpress that you might not yet be able to submit those records. Please consult with your internal Information Systems department or software provider to determine when you will be able to submit disbursement records. EDExpress users using version 6.2 can now submit disbursement records for 2000-2001. There will be a delay in processing Special Disbursement batches due to some processing issues that arose during testing. Any Special Disbursement batches sent to RFMS will be held until RFMS is certified to process them. An announcement will be made when Special Disbursements will be processed.
