RE: Uninstalling 2000-2001 EDExpress Version 6.2

CPS Customer Service has recently discovered an issue with 2000-2001
EDExpress we wish to communicate to schools. This issue involves running the
Uninstall utility on the latest EDExpress release, Version 6.2, and will
only affect schools who are running 2000-2001 EDExpress in a networked
environment.

The Uninstall utility is intended to only remove EDExpress program files
from the workstation's hard drive. However, we have found that running the
Uninstall utility from the workstation that was used to originally install
the EDExpress database (Expres01.mdb) will also delete the database from its
network location.

We strongly encourage schools to continue to create regular, reliable
back-up copies of the 2000-2001 EDExpress database, on a daily basis if
possible. The back-up copy can then be restored if the Uninstall utility is
accidentally or deliberately initiated and removes the program database from
its network location.
