This message announces the electronic release of March update pages for the Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) Technical Reference for 2000-2001 on the U.S. Department of Education's Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, http://www.ifap.ed.gov.

The change page posting includes a File Naming Conventions page which notes how to put the various sections together and a Tracking Log which notes the page numbers that have changed and a brief description of the change.

The EDE Technical Reference provides programmer specifications and record layouts for schools or other organizations that need to design software systems to interface with ED's software for EDE data.
