RE: Batch Integrity Errors Importing Batches RFMS Processed On May 1-2, 2000

THIS MESSAGE: Informs schools that we have corrected batch acknowledgment trailer records processed by RFMS on May 1-2, 2000 and have resent the batch acknowledgments to TIV WAN mailboxes.

On May 1-2 RFMS processed origination, disbursement, and special disbursement batches correctly, but entered $0.00 as the Total Accepted/Corrected Amount in the batch trailer records. This caused some schools to receive Batch Integrity Errors when they tried to import these batch acknowledgments into their Pell databases.

We corrected the trailer records and resent these batches on May 4. They should be in the schoolsÂ’ TIV WAN mailboxes at this time available to be imported. This trailer record problem did not cause any delay in RFMS processing authorization adjustments for schools whose accepted disbursements are now greater than their current Pell authorizations.

We regret any inconvenience this matter may have caused. If you have any questions, please call the Pell Grant Hotline at 1-800-4PGRANT (800-474-7268) or e-mail us at
