PublicationDate: 4/28/2000 Summary: RFMS Downtime for 2000-2001 Implementation Author: General Manager: SFA School Channel Posted on April 28, 2000 TO: All Destination Points FROM: U.S. Department of Education RE: RFMS Downtime for 2000-2001 Implementation THIS MESSAGE: Informs you of a short period of Downtime for RFMS What is going on: RFMS is implementing the 2000-2001 annual release of RFMS When: 12 PM, April 28th to April 30th What is the effect: The Pell Grant Website, www.pellgrantsonline.ed.gov will be down during the implementation. Pell Grant Customer Service Representatives that will not have access to the RFMS mainframe. This means that they will not be able to checkthe status of students, batches, or authorization levels. However, the Hotline will remain open for general questions. RFMS will not be transmitting to GAPS on Friday. This means there may be a small delay in availability of funds for some schools. When the system comes back up: We anticipate that the RFMS will again be fully functional on Monday May 1, 2000. Customer Service will be able to check the status if students, batches and authorization levels The Website will be fully functional. RFMS will be transmitting regularly to GAPS. We will send anothermessage letting you know when the system is once again available. Thank you for you patience and cooperation.
