RE: Tip of the Week: Password Reset Utility in 2000-2001 EDExpress

The 2000-2001 EDExpress software features a password reset utility file
called ResetPW.exe. This file can run to reset the software's default user
ID and password to SYSADMIN in the event you forget or lose your current
User ID and password information.

Because the 2000-2001 EDExpress software must be downloaded from the
SFAdownload Web site (www.sfadownload.ed.gov), you may need to manually
relocate the ResetPW.exe file to the EDExpress program directory.

The 2000-2001 EDExpress software install files can be downloaded as eight
separate install files, labeled "Disk1," "Disk2," etc., or in a single
file, called EDExpress60.exe (for Version 6.0).

If you download EDExpress as eight install files, the ResetPW.exe file
will be located on disk two. If you download the single EDExpress install
file, the ResetPW.exe file will be located in the directory in which
EDExpress install files are extracted to when the EDExpress60.exe file is
run (typically C:or C:

To save this file for future use, we recommend you copy the ResetPW.exe
file to your C:Filesfor Windows v6 directory.

or for assistance in using the ResetPW.exe to reset the SYSADMIN user ID
and password, please contact CPS Customer Service at (800) 330-5947, or
