Attached below is a hyperlink to the text and PDF copies of the Notice correcting the previous announcement about establishing negotiated rulemaking committees and identifying dates for meetings and possible issues to be discussed. The meeting scheduled for January 18, 2000 to discuss procedures for the negotiation sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time at the Loews L'Enfant Plaza Hotel, 480 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC. Attached are directions to the hotel using both surface streets and the Metro subway system. Additionally, all of the negotiation sessions beginning in February and concluding in June will be held at the main building at the US Department of Education (FB-6) located at 400 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington, DC. Correction to Notice on Negotiated Rulemaking ******************************************************************* From the North: Take 95 South to Route 50 West. This will turn into New York Avenue when it crosses the District line. Continue on New York Avenue to 7th Street, NW and turn left. Take 7th Street to Independence Avenue and turn right. This is the LEnfant Promenade . Drive to the top of the Promenade and the hotel will be across the plaza on your left-the parking garage is across from the hotel and down the driveway-security guards are their to assist you From the South: Take 95 North to 395 North. As you go over the Potomac (14th Street Bridge) stay to the left of the bridge. Follow the sign that direct you to Route 1 North. This will become 14th Street. Go to the Second Light and turn right. This is Independence Ave. Proceed to the second light and turn right. This is LEnfant Promenade. Drive to the top of the promenade and the hotel will be on your left.
