RE: Suppression of FISAP Warning Edit Messages

As of November 15, 1999, all schools who successfully returned their
FISAP Current Year Data file using the FISAP Version 2.0 software have been
sent an edit/verification report file (FIDT01OP) via the Title IV WAN.

Prior to placing this edit/verification report in your mailbox, all "Warning!" edit
messages were suppressed. The Department's FISAP processor
did not suppress the other edit messages.

Since these "Warning!" messages are only warnings and not necessarily
edit errors, the Department anticipated most schools receiving any of these
messages during the original FISAP submission would have either
corrected the data or provided an explanation.

However, the FISAP processor may be contacting your school if they find
there continues to be a problem with the data you submitted on your
FISAP for the Campus-Based programs. Your institution is responsible for
verifying that the data submitted on your FISAP is correct. You must transmit
any data changes via EDConnect no later than December 15, 1999.
