The Central Processing System (CPS) began processing your 2000-2001
Renewal Application Data (RAD) Requests yesterday, October 13, 1999,
rather than on October 18, 1999 as stated in the network message dated
October 1, 1999. We are able to start processing earlier than anticipated
because the process to build the 2000-2001 Renewal Application database
completed ahead of schedule. While the processing starts early, the last day
for RAD processing will still be Friday, November 5, 1999 at 5:00PM CT.

If you have already made an on-line RAD request or sent in a Type 2 RAD
Request File via Title IV WAN, you can expect to receive either your RAD
file or an error file when you start work on Thursday, October 14 . If you
make your RAD request after 10/13/99, your file will be available by the
next business day.

There are 7,960,299 students eligible for 2000-2001 Renewal Applications.
Of this number, there are 1,629,598 students who will receive automatic PIN
mailers (grad students and web filers) instead of the paper Renewal
Application form.

If you have any questions about this or the Renewal Application process,
please contact CPS Customer Service at 800/330-5947, option 2 or at
