PublicationDate: 9/14/99 Summary: FISAP 2.0 Software Issues Author: CPS - Central Processing System (CPS) Posted on September 14, 1999 TO: All Destination Points FROM: CPS Customer Service RE: FISAP 2.0 Software Issues We have recently identified four issues in the 2000-2001 FISAP Version 2.0 software. These issues will be resolved in next year's FISAP software. The four issues and their workarounds are as follows: 1) CM #1812: All FISAP entry screens have more than one page associated with them. However, some users are not completing these additional pages since the software does not prompt you to click on and complete them. WORKAROUND: Complete ALL entry screens that apply to you so the FISAP software can properly check for data edits and proper completion of the form. 2) CM #2074: The FISAP Version 2.0 software will not automatically format FISAP export files for transmission in your EDConnect transmission queue, even if you have the "Export to EDConnect" option selected for your User profile under ToolsUsers. WORKAROUND: FISAP data will still be batched and exported in the correct format, but you will need to manually select and format the file for transmission in EDConnect. 3) CM #2078: The FISAP software may incorrectly fire entry edit #12010 (Sum of administrative cost allowance claimed in Parts III, IV and V exceeds maximum allowable percentage of funds to students as reported on ACA Worksheet) when the total amount spent was $2,750,000 or less (questions 5-7 in Step 2). WORKAROUND: Verify the amounts you have entered are correct, and ignore the edit message. 4) CM #2079: The FISAP Version 2.0 software may fire edits incorrectly due to entering rounded values in certain entry areas, such as Part IV of the FSEOG tab. If you attempt to round up or down to resolve any edits that fire, you may receive additional edits. WORKAROUND: Verify the amounts you have entered are correct, and ignore any subsequent edits that fire indicating you have not rounded properly.
