RE: UPCOMING AUTOMATIC MESSAGE CLASS UPDATE

DATE: December 9, 1997

On December 11, 1997, Title IV WAN will send out the message class
"MESSAGTB" to all users. This file will include all message classes
for the 98-99 processing cycle. Both IAM version 1.5.0 and
EDConnect for Windows 2.1 will automatically request, download, and
import this message class when connecting to the network. The new
message class database will be used from that point onward.

Most of the above actions will occur without notice. One action
you may notice is the importing of the new message class
database into the software. A dialog box will display the progress of
the import. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT CLICK ON THE
CANCEL BUTTON DURING THIS IMPORT PROCEDURE. This will cancel the
automatic import and you will need to import the file manually.

USING MULTIPLE PC'S:

If you run multiple stand-alone PCs, only the PC that downloads the
MESSAGTB will have its message class database updated. Other
stand-alone PCs will need to have the MESSAGTB file manually imported.
You can copy the received MESSAGTB.*** file onto a diskette and
manually import the file into the DOS IAM or EDConnect for Windows
software located on the other stand-alone PCs. If you have questions
on manually importing this file please call Title IV WAN customer
service at 1-800-615-1189.

MAINFRAME USERS:

You will need to receive the MESSAGTB file from your mailbox. Your
receive statement should specify FLT=73 because it is a compressed
file. Decompress this file at a logical record length of 80.

This file will list one record for each current and deleted message
class. It will assist you in setting up your JCL to receive and send
your 98-99 data.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ABOVE PROCEDURE PLEASE
CALL TITLE IV WAN CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 800-615-1189.
