RE: Upcoming 1998-99 PELL Payment for Windows Software Distribution

We are pleased to announce the upcoming distribution of the PELL Payment for
Windows software, version 3.0.0. This is the initial software version for the 1998-99
award cycle. Distribution will begin on 06/05/98. Enhancements and new processes to
the PELL Payment for Windows software will make it easier for you to manage your Pell
award data. These enhancements involve modifications to such features as security,
entry, delete and browse.

The complete summary of changes for 1998-99 are described in the cover letter enclosed
with the PELL Payment for Windows software package. Institutions may start
submitting 1998-99 Pell award data to the Pell Grant Recipient and Financial Management
System (PGRFMS) beginning July 1, 1998.
