RE: Tip of the Week --- Correcting ISIRs

This week's tip highlighting a specific feature or process in the 1998-99 EDExpress software --- correcting ISIRs.

When your institution submits an ISIR correction to the CPS, we will use the specified transaction as a template. We will make changes to the fields you specify in the correction record, leaving other fields unchanged. Your institution code does not have to be the first college choice to be processed by CPS. You will receive the processed results in the SARR99OP message class --- all other institutions listed on the transaction will receive the new ISIR in the SARA99OP message class.

To add your school code to an ISIR or modify other school codes, you must include the Data Release Number (DRN). Otherwise, the DRN is not required.

If you are submitting a dependency override or FAA EFC Calculation (professional judgment) as part of the correction record, only your institution will receive the resulting corrected transaction.

If you have any question on the ISIR correction process, please contact CPS Customer Service at (800) 330-5947 option 8, then option 1, or via e-mail at CPS@NCS.COM.
