The files are identified by message class DICA97OP. During this dress rehearsal period, schools should correct the records and return the error files to NSLDS within 30 days of receipt. Please use version 2.5 of EDExpress when working the SSCR error file. (In the future, when this dress rehearsal period is over, you should plan to return an SSCR error file within 10 days.) If you have submitted your SSCR, but have not yet received your error/acknowledgment file by November 22, 1996, please verify that you used the correct message class to send in the SSCR to start with (DECR97IN). If that is not the problem, your SSCR may be among the group received by NSLDS that had bad header records and could therefore not be processed. NSLDS Customer Service Center ((800) 999-8219) will be able to assist in locating some files, but a few of the files received are not identifiable. Schools that have still not submitted their SSCR should continue to work on it and return it to NSLDS as soon as possible. The error codes for the SSCR error files have been revised slightly. The up to date list is: Code Error Message 11 No Detail Record matches the record identifiers (Student's SSN, Student's First Name, Date of Student's Birth) in NSLDS 13 Invalid Date of Student's Birth 14 Invalid Date for Address Effective Date 15 Invalid Date of Anticipated Completion 17 All address fields (Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, and Effective Date) must be provided 18 Invalid State Code 19 Missing Code for Enrollment Status 20 Invalid Code for Enrollment Status 21 Invalid Date Enrollment Status Effective 23 Missing Date of Enrollment Status Effective; mandatory when Code for Enrollment Status is not equal to "D" for Deceased 24 Record was on Roster file and not updated by School 25 Anticipated Completion Date must equal Date Enrollment Status Effective when Enrollment Status Code = G 26 Anticipated Completion Date must be greater than Certification Date when Enrollment Status Code = A, F, H, or L 28 New Student Date of Birth is invalid date 29 New Student Date of Birth must be before date of roster creation 30 Certification Date must be greater than or equal to date enrollment status effective date 31 Attempted to add an ad hoc student but the student was not found in the database 32 Student status could not be applied as current due to a reporting/history violation.
