Mainframe Users: The EPPPD batches placed on the network by the PGRFMS on the
afternoon of Thursday, May 22, used a wrong compression configuration. The problem
was corrected on Friday, May 23. The EPPPD batches with the correct compression
configuration were placed on the network on Tuesday, May 27. If you are experiencing
any problems or have any questions, please call the Pell Payment Hotline at
202-708-9141, or TIV WAN Customer Service at 800-615-1189.

PC Users: Destination Points using PC software were not affected by the compression
configuration problem described above. However, the retransmission of the mainframe
user's batches on Tuesday May 27 included your EPPPD batches as well. Please
disregard the second PCON97OP.* message class (from the May 27 transmission). This
will not effect any changes unless you have made corrections to the first batch prior to
importing the second duplicate batch. If you have any questions, please call the Pell
