PublicationDate: 8/21/96 Summary: Password Change Issue Author: TIV/WAN - Title IV Wan Customer Service To: Title IV WAN Destination Points From: Title IV WAN Customer Service Date: August 21, 1996 RE: Password Change Issue Some users have recently received the message "Password was not valid, logon failed" when trying to connect to the Title IV WAN with a valid password. Users experiencing this problem have recently changed their password and were notified that the password change was successful when, in fact, it was not. This problem affected a limited number of users on an intermittent basis and has been resolved. Those users affected should attempt another password change with their old password (password used before the recent change) as the current password and a completely new password (one never attempted before) for the new password.
