RE: Packaging Pell in EDExpress Version 5.0 and 5.1

We wish to advise you of a software issue in the 1999-2000 EDExpress
Version 5.0 and the upcoming Version 5.1.

If you package a Pell eligible record that has a budget (I.E. Cost of
Attendance) of less than $3100, EDExpress may not award the correct Pell
amount. You should compare any affected students' Pell awards against
the 1999-2000 Federal Pell Grant Program Payment and Disbursement
Schedule and, where necessary, manually adjust the Pell award to the
appropriate amount. We advise you to do this before printing and
distributing any award letters to the affected student(s).

This issue will be resolved in Version 5.2, which will be released in
May, 1999. If you have any questions, please contact CPS Customer Service
