The CPS began printing and mailing non-EDE requested 98-99 Renewal Applications
directly to students on November 26, 1997. Having started mailing on the East Coast,
we are now mailing applications in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New
Hampshire, and Maine. CPS has mailed approximately 600,000 of the 7 million
Renewal Applications that will be distributed for this processing cycle. We estimate
the mailing will be completed by January 2, 1998.
