ATTENTION FINANCIAL AID OFFICERS:

The FY 1997 Draft Cohort Default Rate Data was mailed on March 29, 1999 to all postsecondary schools that had a draft cohort default rate calculated. Remember, draft cohort default rates are not released to the public. Enclosed with the draft cohort default rate data is a copy of the FY 1997 Draft Cohort Default Rate Guide (Guide). Please use the Guide to assist your school in verifying the accuracy of the cohort default rate data. The Guide will also outline the changes the 1998 Higher Education Amendments have on the draft cohort default data review process.
