PublicationDate: 10/25/96 Summary: Enrollment requirements for 1997-98 Renewal Application process Author: CPS - Central Processing System (CPS) To: EDE Destination Points From: CPS Customer Service Subject: Enrollment requirements for 1997-98 Renewal Application process In the 1997-98 Action Letter #1 (9/6/96), EDE participants were advised that to participate in the Renewal Application process for the 1997-98 academic year, their destination point needed to be productional in either Renewal Applications or electronic ISIR's for either the 1996-97 or the 1997-98 processing cycle for their TG5 ID. In addition to this requirement, participating schools must also ensure their institution code has an active enrollment status specifically for Renewal Applications. This would be designated on an institution's participation agreement filed with Title IV WAN. Not being enrolled in Renewal Applications may generate an error message or rejected batch when trying to make a Renewal Application Data (RAD) request, as detailed in Action Letter #1. Users making On-Line Query RAD requests should take particular note of this, as error messages notifying of this problem will only appear on Type 2 (Institution SSN Requests) screens. Although this enrollment issue also applies to Type 1 (All Records for Destination), Type 3 (All Records for Particular Institution) and Type 4 (All Records for Destination Point by Grade Level) requests, associated error messages will NOT occur during the process of making those types of requests. Instead, these types of requests will receive a rejected batch when CPS starts processing the request during the week of November 4th. To check which services your institution code is enrolled in, please refer to your copy of Enclosure G of Action Letter #7, or contact Title IV WAN customer service at 1-800-615-1189. If you have any questions on the Renewal Application process, please call CPS Customer Service at 1-800-330-5947, option 8. |
