On August 7, 1998, the Pell Grant Recipient and Financial Management System (PGRFMS) experienced a production error which caused the 1997-98 Electronic Pell Payment Data processed for August 7, 1998 to be posted back to the institutions twice in error. The EPPPDs were returned to the TIVWAN mailboxes on August 7 and again on August 8 in the PCON98OP message class for the 1997-98 processing cycle. You do not need to import both transmissions. If you are using the Department's Pell Payment for Windows or Pell Payment for DOS software, you should not experience any difficulty if you have already imported the data on both days. We regret any inconvenience this may have cause you.
