Direct Loan institutions often request pre-printed promissory notes from the
Loan Origination Center. However, due to print options available in the
1999-2000 EDExpress software which allow you to print field labels with or
without loan data, these pre-printed notes will not align correctly with
labels and data printed from the EDExpress database.

For this reason, we are strongly recommending that, if your school uses 1999-2000
EDExpress for processing Direct Loan data, you do not request promissory notes
with pre-printed field labels from the LOC.
