RE: Distribution of 2000-2001 FISAP Version 2.0

This message announces the release of the
2000-2001 FISAP, Version 2.0, and
provides instructions for installing it on your computer:

The 2000-2001 FISAP software, Version 2.0
contains all functionality necessary to
process your 2000-2001 FISAP form.
We will complete distribution of Version 2.0 to
all enrolled institutions by
late July. Please refer to the cover letter sent with the
software for more information and the enhancements we have made to the software.

The FISAP processor will begin sending Prior Year Data files to previous
electronic FISAP filers in mid-July, 1999. The Prior Year Data file will be
posted to your appropriate Title IV WAN mailbox using the message class
FPYD01OP. You will need to import this file into Version 2.0 before you
begin entering your new FISAP information.

NOTE: In order to receive the FPYD01OP message class using EDconnect, you
must have downloaded the message class update file (MESSAGTB) sent to
enrolled schools at the beginning of July.

FISAP Version 2.0 is a 32-bit product. You must have Windows 95, NT, or 98
as your PC operating system to run this version. You must also be in
compliance with the system requirements outlined in Action Letter #2
(October, 1997).

Version 2.0 is NOT an upgrade to the 1999-2000 FISAP software (Version 1.0),
and will not overwrite your Version 1.0 database or program files. You can
perform a standalone installation or a network installation. If you plan to
use the software in a network environment, you should perform the database
server installation first, followed by network workstation installations on
the PCs you will be using to access FISAP database.

You should always reboot your PC following a standalone or network
workstation installation.

For further information regarding the Version 2.0 installation process,
please consult the Installation Guide sent with the software.
