Indication of the SAR C code for this match result was inadvertently omitted from the initial action letter. - Also in appendix B, on page B-13, Veterans Affairs match results that produce comment 174 incorrectly reference EDs SSN valid range check in the reason for Comment/Results column. - Appendix G is a sample ISIR that incorrectly references a data match of DED. The label "DED", which is for the Social Security Administration (SSA) Date of Death, is in the current version of EDExpress but will be removed in Version 5.1, as there is no separate match for the date of death. The date of death indicator is already incorporated into the SSN Match flag as value "5." A new sample ISIR is provided. We will NOT disseminate hardcopy correction pages to 1999-2000 Action Letter #5.
