1996 DIRECT CONSOLIDATION LOAN PROGRAM TRAINING

Students think financial aid administrators have all the answers. But the
answers change, and new opportunities for students arise. If you are a
financial aid administrator who wants to know more about Direct
Consolidation Loans and repayment, sign up now for Department of
Education training.

TOPICS WE WILL COVER
An overview of the Direct Consolidation Loan Program will give new financial
aid office staff a good background. Those more experienced can fill in the
blanks in their knowledge. In addition, the training will help everyone in the
financial aid office get up to speed on regulatory changes, such as the new
Income Contingent Repayment Plan. You can learn all the advantages to a
Direct Consolidation Loan, especially a new alternative _ in-school
consolidation. Finally, broaden your knowledge about repayment options and
default prevention.

WHEN AND WHERE
Experts from the Department will be conducting one-day seminars during
May and June to fill you in on these topics and to answer your questions. The
seminars will be conducted in the Regional Training Centers on the following
dates:

• May 23 in Region IV (Atlanta)
• June 4 in Region V (Chicago)
• June 11 in Region VI (Dallas)

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the program at 10 a.m. The program
is expected to conclude at 3:00 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please

a region other than your own if that is more convenient. (More seminars may
